Discover a 1000-piece puzzle that takes up one of the themes that obsessed Paul Gauguin in the latter part of his career. Out of his desire to discover the primitive and pure life of the Polynesian people, Paul Gauguin travelled to Tahiti and stayed there for the rest of his life, capturing the originality of the place and its people in a unique way in his works
The Tahitian painting Women on the beach, which you can recreate with this painting puzzle, was done in the Post-Impressionist style in the first months after his arrival on the island and captures an amalgam of moods, from relaxation and detachment to carelessness about what is happening around him.
Paul Gauguin succeeds in conveying the image of the two women in an interesting way, a combination of the features of the Tahitian inhabitants and the clothes that suggest European attire brought to the island by missionaries.
The bright, warm colours of oil painting on canvas are faithfully rendered in this art puzzle, which succeeds in bringing the warmth of the area to the fore.

Did you know that…?
Paul Gauguin started painting as an amateur artist, as a hobby, and his works were only noticed after his death. He didn’t devote himself fully to art until he was in his 40s, after working as a stockbroker and salesman, but without much success.
Throughout his life he was always in search of that special something to inspire him, of primitive life like that of the natives, whom he believed still held the essence of purity
Unlike the realist movement, his paintings do not depict real images but rather distorted ones, his figures often having disproportionate body parts, delineated with hard lines in dark colours.
